Federal Taxes for for Canadian employees (TD1)

When setting up a Canadian employee's federal tax information, you'll need values from the employee's TD1 (Personal Tax Credits Return).

The TD1 is used to determine the employee's federal claim amounts. For more details and the current form, refer to the Government of Canada website.

Enter the Basic Personal Amount (BPA)

Enter the employee's Basic Personal Amount on this screen in Net Tax Credit.

Since the Basic Personal Amount can vary by employee, this field defaults to 0 so you can enter the correct value based on the employee's TD1.
