If you need to make adjustments to an employee's records at the end or beginning of a year, ensure that the Percentage Tax Rate reflects the correct year for the adjustment.
For example, if you're making an adjustment for 2024, but the system is already set to 2025, you’ll need to temporarily change the percentage tax year to 2024 to ensure accuracy.
1. Navigate to File > Percentage Tax Rate to adjust the year then Exit.
2. Navigate to Utilities > Reset YTD Totals
Click Yes when prompted, ensuring the year displayed matches the year for the adjustments.
3. Make YTD adjustments, as needed.
4. Regenerate W-2s, 1099s, etc.
5. Revert the Tax Year and Reset Totals
- Return to the Percentage Tax Table and set the tax year back to the current year.
- Reset the running year totals as described in the steps above.
