Customer Deposits balancing is off by the amount of the Discounts

When comparing the Journal's ending balance to the Month End reports, RFMS users will find that the ending balance should not be an exact match to customer deposits alone. It should be the sum of the deposits PLUS any discounts made to orders that have not yet been job costed.  See below:

Journal Listing (Accounting > File > General Ledger > General Ledger Functions > Print Journal):

Customer Deposits Report (Accounting > File > Month End > A/R Reports > Customer Deposits):

NOTE: If the discounts is a NEGATIVE number, you need to subtract the discounts (add the negative value).

Another option is the Open Orders Report (Accounting > File > Month End > A/R Reports > Open Orders):

The Payments column will add the Customer Deposits and the Discount amount together into one field.
