You can accept card payments in RFMS Core Order Entry when you have a Payment Solution set up. The basic steps are the same for all payment solutions. This article uses Payments Flex to show the process.
If your business has Cyncly Payments surcharge enabled, Payments Flex applies surcharge automatically when a payment is eligible. Surcharge does not change the steps for accepting a card payment. For more information on surcharge, see Cyncly Payments Surcharge: Eligibility and Requirements.
Accept a Payment with Physical Terminal
Surcharge does not apply: Payments completed through a physical payment terminal are card-present and do not include a Cyncly Payments surcharge.
- In Order Entry, select an order with a balance due.
- Select Payment at the top of the window,

- In the Payment window, enter the Store, Date, Register, and amount to be paid in the Card field. Then select OK.
- In the Select Payment Method window, select Payments Flex, then select OK.
- Click on the Terminal tab and select a connected terminal from the dropdown list.
- Follow the prompts on the terminal device.
- After the payment is complete, you can print a receipt for the customer. The order balance updates immediately.
Enter a Card Payment Manually
Surcharge may apply: If surcharge is enabled, an eligible card-not-present payment may include a surcharge.
- In Order Entry, select an order with a balance due.
- Select Payment at the top of the window,

- In the Payment window, enter the Store, Date, Register, and amount to be paid in the Card field. Then select OK.
- In the Select Payment Method window, select Payments Flex, then select OK.

In Payments Flex, select the Card tab. Enter or select the card information and enter the billing information.
When surcharge applies, the surcharge notice appears before you complete the payment. - Select Pay to complete the transaction.
- After the payment is complete, you can print a receipt for the customer. The order balance updates immediately.
